Grayling Township Planning Commission

Minutes: December 26, 2006

1. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jansen at 7:00.

2. Pledge of Allegiance

3. Roll call: All present. Guests: Jim Micheff, LeRoy Bruch, Bob Gustafson.

4. Case #06-04SU

Petitioner: Camp AuSable (Robt. Gustafson)

Address: 2590 Camp AuSable Road

Grayling, Mi, 49738

Property ID# 040-41-016-01-020-00

Parcel size: 305 acres

Zoning: Deferred Development

Request: Transfer auto dealership license from Cedar Lakes Donation Center for Seventh Day Adventist Great Lakes Donation Center to be used for temporary storage, repair and sales of donated vehicles. No vehicles will be visible from M-72.

Chairman Jansen opened the Public Hearing at 7:02. Representatives from Camp AuSable and the Planning Commission discussed the possible rezoning of the property to RF which would more accurately reflect the actual use of the property. Closed the Public Hearing at 7:12. Motion by Hood, supported by DiPonio to recommend to the Township Board a rezoning of that portion of Section 16 owned by Camp AuSable to RE Roll call: all ayes.

5. Consideration of lake/river road end ordinance. After a brief discussion, Supervisor Wright agreed to come to the next meeting with a draft of permitted uses on Township owned property.

6. Citizens who wish to speak. None.

7. Other matters which may be legally brought before the board. None.

8. Adjournment. Motion by Hood, supported by Cox to adjourn at 7:55. All ayes.
