Charter Twp of Grayling Reg. Meeting Jan. 16, 2008

Members Present:

Dennis Long, Shawn Kraycs, Monica Ashton, Cynthia Olson, Terry Wright.

Members Absent:Two vacant positions.

Others Present:John Wotring

Supervisor called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.

Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance

Correspondence (No action required): E-911 Report for Dec. 07, Ordinance Enforcement Report for Dec. 07, Fire Dept. Report for Dec. 07 (Year End Stats), Building Dept. Report for Dec. 07.

1. Minutes of December 19, 2007 tabled to the February meeting.

2. Treasurer’s Report for December 2007 tabled to the February meeting.

3. There were no citizens who wished to speak.

4. Information on vacation of property was provided to board members. (See attachment “A”)

5. Board request clarification of letter from William Carey, Attorney for Crawford County Road Commission, advising that a section of North Portage Avenue is now closed to public use. (See attachment “B”)

6. Motion by Long, second by Kraycs, to extend the contract with Kleen-Rite Services, for lawn/window/carpet maintenance for one year at an increased rate of $2,200.00 per year. Ayes, five; Nays, none, Absent, two vacant positions. Motion carried.

7. Motion by Kraycs, second by Ashton, to approve payment of claims on vouchers 6079, 6083 through 6126, Board & Comm. fees $511.70 for a grand total of $101,834.33. Ayes, four; Nays, none; Absent, Supervisor left meeting at 10:15 a.m. and two vacant positions. Motion carried.

8. Motion by Kraycs, second by Ashton, to adjourn, carried. (10:24 a.m.)
