GRAYLING CHARTER TOWNSHIP BOARD REGULAR (RESCHEDULED) MEETING
APRIL 26, 2017

Members Present: Cindy Olson, JoAnn Michal, Rick Harland, Duane Brooks, Claudia Selthoffer, Dennis Long.
Members Absent: Monica Ashton
Others Present: Jennifer Smeltzer, Mike Ingalls.

1. Supervisor Harland called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.

2. Correspondence and Reports for March 2017 (no action required): Central Dispatch, GFD Activity Report.

3. Motion by Brooks, second by Selthoffer, to approve minutes of March 15, 2017 as presented. Ayes, six; Nays, none; Absent, one. Motion carried.

4. Motion by Olson, second by Brooks, that Regular Township Board Meeting dates remain the same for Fiscal Year 2017-18. Third Wednesday of Month at 10:00 a.m. in the Conference Room of the Grayling Township Hall. Ayes, six; Nays, none; Absent, one. Motion carried.

5. Motion by Selthoffer, second by Michal, to designate Financial Institutions within Crawford County as depositories for Township Funds. Ayes, six; Nays, none; Absent, one. Motion carried.

6. Motion by Long, second by Brooks, to designate Richard Jaskowski, of Cary & Jaskowski, as Township Attorney for Fiscal Year 2017-18. Ayes, six; Nays, none; Absent, one. Motion carried.

7. Motion by Long, second by Michal, to designate Miller & Cook as Auditors of Township Records for Fiscal Year. (Last in three year agreement) Ayes, six; Nays, none; Absent, one. Motion carried. Consensus to get bids for next three fiscal years.

8. Motion by Olson, second by Brooks, to acknowledge Board Members receipt of copies of Clerk’s Final Budget Report for 2016-17 and Adopted Budget for 2017-18. Ayes, six; Nays, none; Absent, one. Motion carried.

9. Jennifer Smeltzer, Great Lakes Timber Professionals Association, spoke highly of AROUCO. She is a resource for problems with logging companies.

10. Motion by Long, second by Brooks, to recommend Heather Compton as Grayling Charter Township’s representative on the Grayling Recreation Authority Board. Ayes, six; Nays, none; Absent, one. Motion carried.

11. Mike Ingalls, Constable, reported that Fick & Sons, Gates AuSable Lodge and Kirtland Community College have received their respective Liquor Licenses.

12. July 17, 2017 is Hazardous Waste Day at the Crawford County Court House.

13. Motion by Michal, second by Long, to approve claims on vouchers 197 through 225 and liquor inspections of $100.00, for a grand total of $74,352.50. Ayes, six; Nays, none; Absent, one. Motion carried.

14. Motion to adjourn by Brooks, second by Selthoffer, carried. Ayes, six; Nays, none; Absent, one.
